Share Offer

Share Offer

We launched a community share issue on 27th July 2018. Email us to receive a share prospectus and business plan, or download them here. Individuals buying shares in our community shop and café, subject to HMRC approval, may be able to receive up to 50% tax relief on your investment if you are a UK taxpayer. Therefore, investing £500 means you can reclaim £250 from HMRC via your tax return. However, it is best to think of community shares as an investment in the future well-being of the community, and the amount of tax relief, if any, cannot be guaranteed by us.
The Walled Garden Community Shop and Café will be owned by and trade for the benefit of local people.

What to Do Now

To buy shares please read the prospects first. We also recommend that you read the business plan. Both of these documents are available at our downloads page, or you can open the share prospectus here.
Then complete the application form and either email it to membership@thewalledgardenshop.co.uk or post it to 2, Kevill Davis Drive, Little Plumstead, Norwich, NR13 5FB

At this point in time, we are unable to accept payment through our Total Giving site. We are working to resolve this, but can continue to accept payment via cheque or by direct bank transfer.

Funding Our Success

We’ve already been successful in applying for grants. A number of local grant-makers, including Norfolk Community Foundation, have funded our establishment. A ‘Bright Ideas’ grant from Lottery funded Power to Change will cover our architect’s fees and planning application (which will be a formality as both our Parish and Broadland Council are agreed on our chosen location).

Capital grants are likely from both our Parish Council and the Herts Partnership Foundation Trust, who operate the Broadland Clinic. They can see opportunities for their service users to gain valuable work experience. Their staff will also welcome somewhere local that serves excellent coffee and cake!
