Calling all crafty teens!

Join our new group for a chance to try out new crafts in like-minded company. These workshops are for young adults aged 12 to 18 years old and all materials and equipment are supplied. You will be shown how to make a bespoke creation which you can take home.

Each month we will try a different craft - for January’s session, we will be using Indian wood block printing to print greetings cards and a drawstring or tote bag

Cost is £17 per person, which includes a suggested donation of £2 to The Walled Garden.

How the day flows:
The morning begins with Anne Murphy guiding you step by step to create a stunning coastal beach scene painting. Enjoy a relaxed lunch break, with food available to purchase from the café set within the beautiful Walled Garden grounds. In the afternoon, create handcrafted Norfolk seashell décor with Lynsey Clark (Seventy8artstudio) perfect little trinket costal dishes.

Snowdrop walk

Join our resident garden expert Richard Hobbs as he takes you on a guided walk of the garden. Learn about the many different and rare varieties of snowdrops, with some for sale on the day.

Walks will take place at 11am, 12noon and 2pm, costing just £3pp, raising valuable funds to maintain our beautiful walled garden.

Homemade takeaway soup can be added to your booking for an extra £3.85pp

Introduction to Indian Wood Block Printing

Learn how to use fair trade Indian wood blocks in the beautiful setting of The Walled Garden. This workshop is for people new to the craft of wood block printing or for those looking to enhance their experience.

We start the afternoon practising our printing technique on paper and fabric using a variety of designs and paint colours. When you are happy with your choices, you can then print your items to take home with you. During the afternoon you will be able to print greetings cards and a small fabric zip bag, as well as a choice of a tote bag or tea towel. You will be supported at each step of the way by Eleanor, the owner of Creative Planet, who is an Indian Block Print Company certified trainer.

This workshop is suitable for for adults and young people aged 12 and over.

The cost of £40 includes all materials and equipment and a £10 donation to The Walled Garden.
